it's been a while! and I have questions!

I know I haven't been on in a while, but I just haven't had much to say. I suppose I could say something just for the sake of saying something, but that would be pointless and no fun at all.
Well, let's see... in my quiet time recently I read something that disturbed me. In 1Corinthians 14:33-38 It says "As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgracful for a woman to speak in the church."
Ok, first of all I might be mistaken in being angered by this because I thought it might be an old custom, but he says he is speaking to all the saints, in other words anyone who has a relationship with Christ. I also thought that it sounds like Paul's interpretation of the Law, as in the Lord asks women to submit to their husbands and then he extends it to mean the church as well. It also confuses me because isn't this the same guy that said we are no longer bound by the Law? I have no husband so if this is correct then should I be bound to it as well? And I have to ask myself if it is a command that I would follow myself? I'm not saying I would abandon my faith, just that I don't think I would follow a command that I don't agree with, made by a sinful man. I know God brought this up so I wouldn't place his apostles on the same level as Him. It's just that it has made me wonder what commands have we been given by men and which ones are from God?
I know the Bible is God ordained, but after it was written? The Catholics added on to it why couldn't someone else?
This just keeps bringing more questions, and all I know is I know nothing.

Revelation (Kind of Cliche)

I know this has been stated to death, but to me its just so astounding! God is LOVE! Not the enfatuation type of love that you have for a crush or several, or the love that a couple shares and then for some reason or another decide to get a divorce, or even the good love you have for family, friends, GF/BF, or a spouse. God is the big kind of LOVE. He is the LOVE that will never stop no matter what you do. He is the LOVE that can and does LOVE despite our flaws. He is the LOVE that is perfect, completely perfect, and infinitely big. (This is going to be a little confusing, but it makes sense in my mind.) So you think for such a perfect and huge LOVE our love is not even a fraction of His LOVE, but when we have His Son , a perfect incarnation of LOVE of the greatest LOVE of all (the sacrificial kind), in our lives we have LOVE in us, and then we now use His LOVE and LOVE Him back. Which is odd and interesting because if He is LOVE and He LOVES us its like He's giving himself to us. Which if you think about it when you LOVE someone and you can't express it it feels like your whole insides just want to burst out of you and on to them covering them in the LOVE and guts which is kind of gross but if you've felt it you get it. Anyway when we LOVE Him back with His LOVE it's complete. We need no more. It might even be too big for us... correction it 'is' too big for us (which might be one reason why we feel like we could explode with it). I think that if we as Christ followers were to make LOVE our main focus (and remember God is LOVE) then we could take care of a lot of this animosity towards "Christians". I mean think about it the greatest commandment is to LOVE God and then LOVE others, but if you do the first the second will follow. Also if we were to LOVE like He does then when it comes to the tough times when it may be hard to love someone we can just simply LOVE them and it's enough. We don't have to like them just LOVE them. It might be harder than even liking them but think of it this way to LOVE them we have to LOVE them as Christ did so we have to LOVE them like we would give our lives up for them. I know I'm no where near this, but I know that if I do do this it makes standing them a whole lot easier.
So I know that was long, but I hope it makes you think or ponder or whatever.

Friends

I have the best friends in the world! Where to begin?

Mandy (The Jock)- She says I am her sanity, but in reality she is mine. She is one of the most sarcastic people I've ever met, but it works for her. Mandy is one of those people who you can just sit with in silence without wierdness. She is very quiet and you have to listen very carefully when she speaks, but what she says is meaningful.

(sorry about the pic. surprisingly it's the only one I had!)
Hannah (The Tomato & My Obsession)- If Mandy is my sanity then Hannah is my insanity (in a good way). Without her my life would very boring. She is an amazing girl who, from what I have seen and heard, can easily recognize God's blessings. There is no one word to discribe Hannah. She is amazing, awesome, beautiful, funny, talented, and one of my best friends.

(Also in the pic above)
Lori (The Perfectionist)- Lori, Lori, Lori. One word to discribe Lori LOUD! Hee, hee, hee! She is a little O.C.D. and we don't always agree, but I still love her. She could be an interrogater because she asks all the right questions to get you talking. It deffinatly would not be the same group without her.

Yaaay! This is my first post. I don't really know what to write about right now, but here is a cool pic from Eurotrain. Enjoy!
